Every licensed business in the markets we cover is listed from the state licence file, with its number and its current standing. That listing exists whether or not you have ever heard of us, and managers are reading it. Claiming it is free and takes a minute: search your name, confirm you are the business, and the page is yours to correct, fill out and answer from.
How the work reaches you
- A manager picks a trade and a building. Matching runs against the service areas you declared and the building's own spec sheet, not a radius around a zip code.
- They shortlist several vendors and ask one question. Everybody on the shortlist gets the same question at the same moment.
- You answer on the site. Your answer lands in its own column beside the others. First and clearest wins far more often than cheapest.
- They hire, and the job opens here. Scope, messages, files and milestones stay in one place, and the rating at the end is attached to work that happened.
Common questions
What kind of leads does GoodVendor send?
Commercial property work, from owners and property managers rather than homeowners. A manager picks a trade, gives the building address, shortlists the vendors whose service area covers it, and asks them all the same question. If your listing covers that address and that trade, the question reaches you.
Do I pay per lead?
No. A flat monthly subscription starting at $9.99 covers the listing and every question that reaches it. There is no per lead charge, no bidding against other vendors for a contact, and no commission on work you win.
Is my business already listed?
Probably. Licensed businesses in the markets we cover are listed from the state licence file, including the licence number and its current standing. Search your name on the claim page; if it is there you can claim it free and it is yours to edit.
How do I get the Verified badge?
Verification is a review we run: a person checks your licence against the state board and puts your insurance certificate on file, and the date of that check appears on your listing. It is included on every plan and cannot be purchased. No amount of spend buys it.
Can I pay to appear above other vendors?
Promoted placement is available on the higher plans and it is always labelled Ad. It appears in its own band and never reorders the unpaid results, because a directory whose ranking is for sale is a directory nobody can use to make a decision.
What happens to the questions I answer?
Your answer goes into the column the manager reads beside every other vendor they asked. How fast you answered is measured and shown on your listing, so answering quickly compounds: it is the one thing you control that moves you up the page.
